Preparing for the 4th of July: The first of several parts of Chapter 13.

Francis Bacon New Atlantis, Manly P Hall, Occult prophecies of America, Please Use the Evolving Door, Secret Destiny of America, the evolving door, The Secret Teachings of All the Ages, The US Great Seal

There is an ancient prophecy.  A prophecy concerning the lands to the west, past the Pillars of Hercules.  The ancient world was far different than we take for granted.  There was global trade, and the land that became forgotten became mythical in its history and in its prophetic future.  Global trade in the ancient world is evidenced by the remnants of ‘cocaine’ (probably just coca leaf or tea) in an Egyptian mummy.  The ancient world was probably not so far from where we are today, at one time, in terms of trade and communication.  The Western Hemisphere is far older and more important than we have been taught to know.  That prophecy is inherent in the symbolism of the obverse and reverse of the Great Seal of the United States of America.
Although, not suppressed, the Great Seal may not have been known to too many before FDR had it placed on the back of the $1 bill in 1935.  Now, it is hard to imagine such a primitive corner on Earth where at least one member of any remote tribe has not seen, or held a $1 note.  If symbolism can affect the subconscious, what does it mean about this Great Seal?  Has it become a talisman?  A talisman (Webster’s 9th) is (a): “an object held to act as a charm to avert evil and bring good fortune” and (b): “something producing apparently magical or miraculous effects.”

One effect seems to be magical: that most people who hold one of these dollars want to have more of them.  The $1 bill, as a talisman, in my opinion, is acting in an opposite way than what was originally intended by the design of the Great Seal of the United States.  However, that said, the dollar might not still have an, overall, positive effect in bringing the prophecy to light, and hence to fulfillment.  Some people believe that the ends justifies the means.  And what if, ultimately, a good result for all is acquired from tyranny to a few?  The caterpillar may hate the means and fear the ends, but the butterfly knows end justifies the means.  This prophecy is nothing other than the coming metamorphosis of our species into our next evolutionary phase.  It is not just the destiny of these Unites States, but the destiny that unites man.
Many people are discussing the Great Seal these days, and the internet is full of many discussions concerning the symbolism found on the Great Seal, most of them are paranoid.
What if it symbolizes the ultimate goal?  What if it is not nefarious, but evolutionary?  What if its meaning is similar to showing a caterpillar pictures of a cocoon and a butterfly, would that cause paranoia amongst the caterpillars of the world?  Getting all your information from ‘conspiracy theorists’ is not healthy, nor is getting all your information from an ancient book altered in translation by the mind and hand of man.  Take everything with a grain of salt (yes, even me).  Masonic authors are writing to support their order, just like Catholic authors are writing to support the Vatican.

However, you may find it next to impossible to find two Masonic authors, even of the same degree, in accord about everything concerning the history and objectives of their order.  One would be foolish, though, to just believe what any author says someone else believes without examining the works of those being attacked by their own quotes.
Let’s look and see what pro-occult sources write about the symbolism of the Great Seal of the United States.  In his 1928 tome, Manly P Hall writes:

“The hand of the Mysteries controlled in the establishment of the new government, for the signature of the Mysteries may still be seen on the Great Seal of the United States of America.  Careful analysis of the seal discloses a mass of occult and Masonic symbols, chief among them the so-called American eagle - a bird which Benjamin Franklin declared unworthy to be chosen as the emblem of a great, powerful, and progressive people.”

“Not only were many of the founders of the United States Government Masons, but they received aid from a secret and august body existing in Europe, which helped them to establish this country for a peculiar and particular purpose known only to the initiated few.  The Great Seal is the signature of this exalted body - unseen and for the most part unknown - and the unfinished pyramid upon its reverse side is a trestleboard setting forth symbolically the task to the accomplishment of which the United States Government was dedicated from the day of its inception.”

“In the early part of the eighteenth century the Rosicrucians turned their attention to the new American Colonies, then forming the nucleus of a great nation in the New World.  The American War of Independence represents their first great political experiment and resulted in the establishment of a nationalist government founded upon the fundamental

principles of divine natural law.”

“ ... the Rosicrucians left the Great Seal of the United States.  The Rosicrucians were also the instigators of the French Revolution, but in this instance were not wholly successful, owing to the fact that the fanaticism of the revolutionists could not be controlled and the Reign of Terror ensued.”

“...and in Peru he was called Amaru.  From this latter name comes our word America.  Amaruca is, literally translated ‘Land of the Plumed Serpent.’”
Again, the pagination will differ in the modern paperback, but the quotes are there.  This epic tome (An Encyclopedic Outline of Masonic, Hermetic, Qabbalistic and Rosicrucian Symbolical Philosophy: The Secrete Teachings of All the Ages) was published a decade after the atrocities of the “War to End All Wars” and five years before Hitler would become Chancellor.  Fourteen years later, on December 2, 1942, Mr Hall presented a lecture at Carnegie Hall in New York.  The outline he used for that lecture was published as The Secret Destiny of America.  My copy has a publication date of 1958, with both 1944 and 1950 listed as copyright dates.  Please remember than Mr Hall was not initiated into Freemasonry until the 1950s, so that the foundation of this lecture (and it first two copyright dates) show that it was composed before Mr Hall was ‘raised’ a Mason.

“The American nation desperately needs a vision of its own purpose.  It must conceive it in a generous idealism, great and strong enough to bind thoughtless and selfish persons to something bigger than themselves.  It must recognize that it is in the intangible ideal that the foundations are laid for all seeable good, must know that the truly practical course of hard realism for America is the one that is laid basically in a generous idealism.”

Page 24
“World democracy was the secret dream of the great classical philosophers.”

Page 25
“Thousands of years ago, in Egypt, these mystical orders were aware of the existence of the western hemisphere and the great continent which we call America.”
“Philosophy set up its house in the world to free men by freeing them of their own inordinate desires and ambitions.  It saw selfishness as the great- (26) est crime against the common good, for selfishness is natural to all who are untutored… And it knew that the democratic commonwealth can be a reality only when our world is a world of self-ruling men.”

Page 45
“The old philosophers taught that physical birth is an accident, for men are born into various races and nationalities according to the laws of generation; but there is a second birth, which is not an accident; it is the consequence of a proper intent.  By this second birth man is born by enlightened intelligence out of nation and out of race into an international nation and an international race.  It is this larger and coming race that will some day inherit the earth.”
One of those illuminating moments I experienced was while traveling through Europe the first time.  We all bleed red: if I were to cut any other human, regardless of their religion, their culture, what nation is on their passport, we all bleed red.  We are the same.  No one is inherently better or worse than any one else.  Nationalism is a crime against humanity.  How could anyone on this earth be any better than anyone else on this earth over the happenstance of where they incarnated?  Having grown up in the closing of the cold war, we were programmed to think we were better than the Soviets, but once traveling through foreign lands, one must learn that we are all equal.  As a true traveler, I (still) feel a citizen of the world; my nationality is rather irrelevant.
In my travels, I learned to think that there is a real need for a one-world mentalities.  By traveling, I learned that we are just one people: we are all citizens of this world.  If only everyone would have to travel the way I did, then maybe we all would recognize ourselves in every stranger’s eyes.  If the above cosmology were accepted by the majority of mankind, would that be evil? Would it be the spawn of the devil if mankind can find peace amongst ourselves because we all have accepted the same science-based definition of god?  If through traveling, everyone can know that nationalism is an antiquated, anti-evolutionary tunnel-reality, an imposed mental template placing limits to one’s understanding of reality: then I say make everyone travel internationally to close out their teen years!  A minimum mandatory of traveling in at least six countries over a course of six months.  The world would turn differently within two generations.
In the course of being illuminated by my life, I have learned to reject nationalism as just as evil a thought pattern (my country is better than yours) as religious thought (my religion is the only religion to get to heaven) as racist thought (my race is smarter than your race, or even worse: my race was chosen by god over all others) and sexist thoughts.  These constitute four thought patterns that are truly a crime against our species: we are all human!  No one race, religion, nation, nor sex is the best.  However, I do believe that the documents that lie at the heart of the United States are the greatest legal precedents to liberating men from the tyrannies of other men.  We cannot export these ideals at the end of a gun, but these ideals should become the foundations of a global declaration of the sovereignty of man.  We should be able to be smart enough to examine what worked in this experiment, what didn’t, where and how corruption gained its foothold, and how we can peaceably solve the problems we have with traitors in high places.  That last sentence is a hefty charge, but I levy it with confidence that treason has been committed en masse in Washington, D. C., and the final check and balance of the Constitution we were provided is for the people to restrain the encroachments of a bureaucratic infestation of faceless tyranny.
My unquestionable patriotism and loyalty to a flag melted when I was 21.  Especially when I was aboard the Clipper Adventurer, I used to tell people that my passport was from the United States, but I considered this world my homeland!  I would rather have a document with a picture of the Earth from space on its cover than the obverse of the Great Seal.  Even on that atrocious Tuesday, when my mother saw me with tears in her eyes telling me about evil in the world, without hesitation I informed her that there is, indeed, evil in this world.  I had seen enough of the world to see how ‘Corporate America’ treats the world.  ‘We’ rape them of the natural resources, barely pay a living wage in an already impoverished area, and then take all the profits back ‘here’ where they are distributed among faceless stockholders.  By seeing this while traveling through second and third world countries, I knew that the World Trade Center symbolized all that is inherently evil in ‘Corporate America’.  And what can be more evil than to have one of the world’s largest office buildings be dedicated to nothing other than researching and developing, by any means necessary, increasing the efficiency of killing fellow humans: the Pentagon.  I informed my mother that there is evil in the world, and it had been attacked that day.
Both the World Trade Center and the Pentagon symbolize the primary aspects of our culture that represent the worst of what we are: greedy and aggressive.  We failed to hear the alarm clock.  It was telling us to wake up.  You and I are not hated around the world: the economic policies of the big-time players (represented by the WTC) and the aggressive nature our foreign policy has taken since 1945 are hated around the world.  Since they represent parts of our collective ‘shadow’, they are the exact things we need to evolve beyond.

Page 61
“With the loss of his spiritual perception, material ambitions increased, and the desire for conquest was born.”

Page 63
“The perfect state disappeared under a deluge of politics; the priests of Poseidon gave way to the priesthood of Mammon.”
Poseidon was the god of Atlantis, and the priesthood of Mammon teaches greed.  Selfishness will be the greatest of sins in my cosmology because it violates the principle balance between the internal dimensions I experience and the external dimension giving you the chance to experience just as valid of an interpretation of the world as me.  We are spiritual beings having a material existence.  Let us declare that light has the solid, liquid, gaseous and plasma states like everything else we know.  Our DNA could then be viewed as a solid state of light.  This is why selfishness, hence its devoted child greed, is a sin.  Acting in accord with both the interior and exterior dimensions must be a selfless act.  Nothing can be gained by the interior except at the expense of the exterior.  I can only gain from you is a fundamental flaw in our culture.  We need to evolve past competitive materialism and reach a collective consciousness of cooperation in meeting spiritual needs.  Transcend the ego of the individual and its selfish desires, transmute the selfish use of thoughts and powers into thinking about what is best for the new hive of evolutionary mutants.  We need to self-examine everything so we only bring what is necessary to the collective cocoon.  A new hive is forming, a hive seeking to mutate beyond mundane reality into the potentials of our own existence.  The Age of Lies would end overnight if we evolved into a telepathic communication.  How can one lie if their thoughts are known?

Page 69
“The international nation - the dream of the future which has been inspired by the terror of modern warfare - would have its beginning in a union of superior intellects ... When we recognize that the poet, the scholar, and the savant are indeed a race inhabiting the suburbs of a superior world, that they are the noblest of our creatures, we can know that we honor ourselves most by honoring them.”
Not an international nation of extended bloodlines at the helm and their puppets whom believe themselves to be superior by their blood, but a meritocracy based on rule by the most moral, just, and wise thinking of the good of their hive, not their own gain.

Page 70
“The religion of the future will include within its own structure the best of science, art, literature, politics and sociology ... That man is religious who lives well.  That man is sacrilegious who perverts universal good for purposes of private gain.”

Page 98
“To be civilized, according to Cicero, is to reach that state of personal and collective behavior in which men can live together harmoniously and constructively, united for the betterment of all.  By this definition, we have never been civilized.  We have existed in a state of cultured savagery.”
Domesticated primates is how Dr Leary and RAW define the same thought.  Mr Hall reports the belief of the secret societies that Christopher Columbus had Templar maps of the Atlantic and knew where he was going.  Unexpressed by occult authors on the subject of Columbus is that if, he indeed, had maps and charts to prove the earth was not flat, was that scientific challenge to the church the true essence of his voyages?  Mr Hall takes us to the realm of the great Utopian writers.  Men like Thomas More (Utopia), Tommaso Campanella (Civitas Solis - City of the Sun), Plato (The Republic), and, the penultimate, Sir Francis Bacon (The New Atlantis) are discussed in summary.
[Mr Hall fails to discuss the utopian commune movement that once tried to succeed inside the infant political experiment on this continent.  Places like Onieda, New York and Harmonie, Indiana where these philosophies were attempted.  These can be found (along with information about the above philosophers’ utopian visions) in the pre-WWI Catholic Encyclopedia’s  article on Communism.  This article discusses these examples of religious/spiritual attempts of utopian, communal living, even discussing the fact that the earliest ‘Christians’ (sourcing the Acts of the Apostles) had lived a communal life.  Before the Bolshevik Revolution, the editors of The Catholic Encyclopedia never thought communism would ever be accepted by any majority.  Although they quote a Mr Hinds as a supporter of communism as saying that no communal way of life would ever work without either a dedication to a common belief, or a common disbelief.]
Concerning Campanella, Mr Hall writes:

Page 103
“He viewed government as a kind of necessary evil to be endured until each man shall become self-governing in his own right ... The principal purpose of life then is to release oneself from the domination of government by the perfection of personal character.”
Mr Hall continues in his reviews of philosophical ideals and had this to say about the virtues expressed in Christianoplis by Johann Valentin Andreae, long speculated as being the writer, if not editor of the great Rosicrucian Manifestos in the early seventeenth century.

Page 106/7
“In order to live wise- (107) ly, men must have a sense of participation in the present good and future good.  There must be a reason for living.  There must be a purpose understandable to all, vital enough and noble enough to be the object of a common consecration.”
Mr Hall finishes his chapter on page 107 with hinting about Sir Francis Bacon’s The New Atlantis.
“It remained for the master of all fable, Sir Francis Bacon, to bind together the vision of the Utopias with supreme artistry.  It is a philosophical catastrophe that Bacon’s New Atlantis was left unfinished.  Or was it left unfinished?  Rumor has it that the book was actually completed but was never published in full form because it told too much.  The final sections of Bacon’s fable are said to have revealed the entire pattern of the secret societies which had been working for thousands of years to achieve the ideal commonwealth in the political world.”

Page 110
“On the title page is a curious design.  It shows the figure of an ancient creature representing Time drawing a female figure from a dark cavern.  The meaning is obvious: Through time, the hidden truth shall be revealed.”
I recommend everyone to read Sir Francis Bacon’s "The New Atlantis"The New Atlantis".  We really need to examine the whole of the world when looking at American history.  We need to understand Luther’s protest and the ensuing Reformation.  Only then can we really put the Vatican’s Counter-reformation in perspective.  This needs to be compared with the advent of the Anglican church, too.  One needs to understand the Inquisition, the Conquistadors, the Crusades, before one can really have any appreciation for just exactly what the American dream meant.  Why the liberation from the tyrannies of both church and state and the foundation of Plato’s Republic, an egalitarian, meritocracy where those most fit to rule, rule.  And those unfit to rule will not be placed in that position by those who have a corrupting influence.

Page 116
“Everything indicates that it was Bacon’s dream that the college of the six days should be erected in America, an area peculiarly set aside by Nature for the perfection of the philosophy and the sciences.
“Part of this dream has been realized.  In this land are the greatest laboratories, observatories, and institutions of research that the world has ever known…
“All that remains is to crown science with philosophy.  As we perfect the inner part of learning the philosophic empire will arise in human society.”

The crowning of science with philosophy is the destiny of this land.  The marriage of science and spiritual.  Inserting ‘God’ back into the equation is our future, by which we shall trigger the next step in our evolution.  Sir Francis Bacon is claimed to have been the founding cornerstone of several secret societies, and he was a shareholder in the Virginia Company, one of the earliest charters to settle this land.  He knew that his homeland would not be the place where his dream could be fulfilled, so he looked westward across the Atlantic to an unspoiled continent.  Several of his descendants came to the early settlements of the Virginia Company.  Were they here to pursue his dream?

Page 134
“The rise of American democracy was necessary to a world program.  At the appointed hour, the freedom of man was publicly declared.”

Understand how the above quote can be used and abused.  Someone trying to instill fear as a ‘conspiracy theorist’ would only use the first sentence, and then elaborate about how Mr Hall was a high-ranking Mason (not true at the time of this speech) and this is revealing the plan of a global governance.  The key is the second sentence.  If we accept that the Old World Order is that of Popes and Kings collaborating against the freedoms of man, then the ‘world program’ in the first sentence is the liberation of man from tyranny.  And this declaration could never happen in the Old World Order: Europe; it could only happen far away from the centers of corruption.  It could only happen a safe distance from the throne rooms of tyranny.

Mr Hall writes about Thomas Paine on page 163:

“He was a Utopian, a dreamer with a mighty courage of conviction.  And when the dream of world democracy is finally realized, Paine’s name and memory will be immortalized; for he was outstanding among the great pioneers of human progress.
“Thomas Paine’s crusading was a part of that secret destiny which has ordained that all people shall be free and equal.”

Page 172
“It is our duty and our privilege to contribute what we can to this Universal plan.  It will go on, served by the unknowns, until the Platonic empire is established on the earth, and the towers of a new Atlantis rise from the ruins of a materialistic and selfish world.”

Occult writers seem to agree on one thing: that there was a high science in the ancient world (Atlantis), and that high science fell from its golden age to a materialistic and selfish age of perversion.  Without proper vigilance, the grandest of intentions can eventually fall into selfish pursuits.  One reason a secret society will only give certain information to each substructure (degree) is to ensure that only those who are trusted can attain the real secrets.  If you were trying to preserve to posterity the Cathar heresy (thought eradicated by the Albigensian Crusade in France), you need to make sure that you remain out of view from the Inquisition.  You need to make sure that you don’t initiate a Vatican spy into your heresy if you want to survive: it means life or death (or months of torture before being burned at the stake).

Page 175
“Most of the designs originally submitted had the Phoenix bird on its nest of flames as the central motif.”

Page 176
“Because of this symbolism, the Phoenix is generally regarded as representing immortality and resurrection.”

Page 177
“Wisdom confers a new life, and those who become wise are born again.”
“The Phoenix of China is identical in meaning with the Phoenix of Egypt; and the Phoenix of the Greeks is the same as the Thunder Bird of the American Indians.”
“It is immediately evident that the bird on the original seal is not an eagle, nor even a wild turkey as Franklin had hoped, but the Phoenix, the ancient symbol of human aspiration toward Universal good.”

Page 178
“The Pyramid of Gizah was believed by the ancient Egyptians to be the shrine tomb of the god Hermes, or Thot, the personification of Universal Wisdom.”
And we have seen previously that the Great Pyramid was considered an initiation chamber into the Mysteries.

Page 179
“The 72 stones (on the seal’s pyramid) are the 72 arrangements of the Tetragrammaton, or the four-lettered name of God, in Hebrew.”
“There is a legend that in the lost Atlantis stood a great university in which originated most of the arts and sciences of the present race ... This temple to the sciences in the old Atlantis is shadowed in the seal of the new Atlantis.”

Page 180
“The obverse of the great seal has been used by the Department of State since 1782, but the reverse was not cut at that time because it was regarded as a symbol of a secret society and not the proper device for a sovereign state ... Most American citizens learned for the first time what was the design of the reverse of their seal when it appeared on the dollar bill, series of 1935A.”
“But it is interesting that its appearance should coincide with great changes affecting democracy in all parts of the world… Then on the common medium of our currency appeared the eternal emblem of our purpose.”

Page 181
“There is only one possible origin for these symbols, and that is the secret societies which came to this country 150 years before the Revolutionary War.”

Page 190
“The purpose for which we are created is revealing itself through the long process of time, and that purpose is indeed our most sacred heritage.”

Page 193
“Philosophy teaches that the completion of the great work must be accomplished not in society but in man himself.”
“Permanent progress results from education, and not from legislation ... Education is not merely the fitting of the individual for the problems of economic survival.  This is only the lesser part of learning.”

Page 194
“The supreme human purpose is the perfection of man.  This must come first, and when this end has been achieved all good things will inevitably follow.
“Only enlightened men can sustain enlightened leadership; only the wise can recognize and reward wisdom.”

Page 195
“The Greek law giver, Solon, declared that in the ideal State laws are few and simple, because they have been derived from certainties.  In the corrupt State, laws are many and confused, because they have been derived from uncertainties.”
“Whenever the body of learning is broken up, the fragments become partial truths.  We live in a day of partial truths; and until we remedy the condition we must suffer the inevitable consequences of division.”

This is our world today: a Humpty-Dumpty fragmented reality.  We need to be all the king’s men and all the king’s horses and put Humpty-Dumpty back together again.  Am I nuts to think that our world is fragmented in terms of knowledge?  The attorney I had settle with an old woman’s insurance company (I may have forgiven her, but it was her fault and her insurance was going to pay, but even if I had gotten a million dollars for five spinal fractures it would not have been enough) and I have known each other since we met on a mutual friend’s parents back yard.  We didn’t go to the same elementary school, but we were classmates.  We were in the same fraternity at different campuses during university, and he is definitely not the normal ‘ambulance-chasing’ personal injury attorney.  The firm he works for mainly defends truck drivers in accidents, but they can take on other personal injury cases.

I don’t think I ever made an appointment to see him after our first meeting; I would just drop by his office.  If he was in and had time, great!  If not, I would only spend a minute with him with an update or leave a message for him if he was out of the office.  Over the course of the year of my rehabilitation, we spent hours sitting either in the main conference hall (which had a 16th floor view of the precise downtown of the singularity) or in his office, talking about old times.  It was a great help in my situation to have someone remember seeing me as a senior in high school, in shape for football, as opposed to the first time he saw me after the accident.  With a stranger, they may have faked their empathy.  His was genuine.  Even last year at our twenty-year reunion, he told me he wished he could have gotten me more money.  Regrettably, he told me that it did not appear as though she really had any assets to go after and that we should just go with maxing out her insurance policy.

In talking to the friend (a PhD research scientist who plays with electron microscopes) whose backyard I met him after getting my results, I told him what I scored on the LSAT.  He told me not to tell our friend because he knew that I beat his score.  When I told him that I only put in one week of preparation, he repeated to not tell him!  I never have, but he will probably read this.  We grew up a good crop of smart, athletic, friendly class.  My father, who taught in the middle school my three years there and moved to the high school with my class has said that it felt like a breath of fresh air my class’s first day of middle school, and that air left the high school with us.

In a conversation once, nearing the end of my Library Summer Days at the Alma Mater, he asked me if I would use my settlement to go back to school.  I had to reply in the negative.  I used our friend as the exemplar.  I explained how he knew a lot about specialty, but very little outside his expertise about other things.  Even his knowledge of law, was departmentalized.  He knew next to nothing about some aspects of the law, other than being exposed to them in a semester in school, or a brief mention.  I  told him that I probably had as good of a grasp of international and domestic business law from having taking three semesters of business law as an undergraduate.

I told him that I would not be able to tell any professor what he wanted to hear to do well.  I would tell them what I thought.  I was more interested in learning a little about a lot of things than knowing a lot about a few things.  We had discussed in a previous time or two some of the things I was reading, so he was definitely aware that I was exploring a wide range of topics.  That was still before how I decided to spend an unacceptable amount of money.  I still have days where I would give up the long hair and all to have a healthy back again.  I usually wake up about thirty-five minutes before a storm arrives feeling the leading edge of the storm in my fractured spine.  Even the healed fractures hurt in a storm.

He understood where I was coming from and was happy to hear that I was going to travel in some fashion for some time.  He knew me before I had traveled, but he was fully aware of my infection from the travel bug.  At our reunion, I explained that I could surf for about an hour or two one day, but that it generally laid me down for a couple of days after.  He definitely could see me pissing off a professor, and respects my decision of not limiting my knowledge to any one field.  The way I did it eventually brought me to BYU in Provo where I spent a week or two in my motor-home in a parking lot so I could walk the stacks and let some books jump off the shelves.  One of those books was referenced above.

"Man: Grand Symbol of the Mysteries" was published May 1st, 1932 and was also written by Manly Palmer Hall.  The essays of anatomy of occult knowledge is one of the most priceless gems of wisdom I have discovered.  Although it was published on May 1st, and Nineteen Hundred and Thirty-Two Years has thirty-two letters, he was not initiated at the time into Freemasonry.  The May 1st might prove more illuminating of his agenda.  He did disseminate a wealth of previously occulted information, especially during an age that was trying harder and harder to suppress information.  Mr Hall finishes The Secret Destiny of America with a chapter he called The End of the Quest.

Page 196
“Religion is the spiritual part of learning, philosophy the mental part, and the sciences, including the arts and crafts, the physical part.”
“Religion is the quest for truth by means of the mystical powers latent in the consciousness of man.  Philosophy is the quest for truth by the extension of the intellectual powers toward the substance of reality.  Science is the quest for truth by the study of the anatomy and (197) the physiology of the body of truth, as it is revealed in material creation.”

Page 197
“Those mystical extra-sensory perceptions viewed with suspicion by the materialist would then be developed according to the disciplines of the sciences, and all learning would be consecrated to the supreme end that men become as the gods, knowing good and evil.”

Page 199
“Man is greater than the animal ... because he contains within himself the faculties and powers by which he can perceive his true place in a divine order of life.”

When looking into a calm pond, its surface can reflect like a huge mirror, but the truth is below that calm: it is a pond, not a mirror.  The truth is always red between the lines. (See Page 12).  I do not believe everything Mr Hall writes, he does include chapters on a couple of ‘mysterious figures’ who were part of the rallying calls to form this country.  He talks about a rallying speech given before the signing of the Declaration of Independence by an unknown stranger that did not sign it, but disappeared during the signing.  He includes chapters about prophecies made in the year of George Washington’s birth, a dream of General McClellan, and about another stranger, known as the Professor, who designed Old Glory for the Revolutionary Republic.  Believe what you want, I take those with a grain of salt: anything is possible, but is it probable?

To explore further what is being disclosed by the symbolism of our Great Seal, Mr Hall also wrote, as Part Five of his The Adepts series: America’s Assignment with Destiny.  This is copyrighted to 1979, although mine is the Third Printing, 1994.  This is after he had joined Freemasonry and, if I am not mistaken, within a decade of being awarded the honorary 33°.  Again he elaborates of the ancient civilizations in the Americas, with another thirty years of life’s research since the lecture that ended up as The Secret Destiny of America.

Page 11
“At a remote time this semimystical, semidivine priest-initiate Quetzalcoatl came from the fabled land of ‘seven colors’ and established his rite at Tulla and Cholula.”

Page 12
“Mendieta, in his Ecclesiastical History, described Quetzalcoatl as a white man with strong formation of Body, broad forehead, large eyes, and a flowing beard.”

Page 13
Quetzalcoatl was born on the day of Seven Canes, and disappeared or died on the day of One Cane.”

From the land of seven colors, born on the day of seven canes, the repetitive image of seven, especially related to light, across the ancient mythologies.  Here we see the completion of the octave though, in the day of One Cane.  Could this be the telling of the return to the frequency of white light in space instead of being stuck in the physical prism of the body?  The returning to one beam instead of the prism of the visible spectrum?

In Central America, there are huge stones called the Olmec Stones.  These depict not the Amerindian race, but are distinctively African.  Quetzlcoatl was white.  Traces of coca have been discovered in Egyptian mummies.  The ancient world was a world of cross-oceanic communication and trade.  This hemisphere was not discovered, for there was a civilization here.  As well as stone monuments that depicted things long extinct.  One of the authors cited in the bibliography of Mr Hall’s 1928 tome is one Augustus Le Plongeon.

And thus concludes this excerpt from Chapter 13 of "My First 100 Days".
